Freestone County

Freestone County is our neighboring county to the east. It can be reached by going due east on Hwy 84 or north on Hwy 14. Freestone County also has an Interstate Hwy (I45) that runs through one of its cities, Fairfield.

Freestone County contains the following cities:

Donie, Fairfield, Kirvin, Streetman, Teague and Wortham. You may recognize Wortham as being the place of an annual blues festival.

Leon County

This county is located southeast of Limestone County. It is a smaller county with lots of unique sights and sounds and unique restaurants.

Leon County contains the following cities:

Buffalo, Centerville, Hilltop Lakes, Jewett, Leona, Marquez, Normangee and Oakwood.

McLennan County

The largest county nearest Limestone County which contains a medium sized regional area with 2 malls, multiple shopping malls, 2 large hospitals, a abundance of hotels/motels and most national food chains. The county is located due west of Limestone County.

McLennen County contains the following cities:

Axtell, Bruceville, China Spring, Crawford, Eddy, Elm Mott, Hewitt, Leroy, Lorena, Mart, Mc Gregor, Moody, Riesel, Ross, Waco, West and Woodway.
